Online Conference: Easter in Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages

Easter, the most important event in the Christian calendar, also had a profound effect on many people in Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. The After Constantine Journal, Medievalists.net, and the Orthodox Academy of Crete are pleased to be hosting an online conference on April 1st.

Taking place through Zoom and Youtube, the conference will feature nine papers examining religious and social aspects of Easter, covering from Byzantium to northern Europe. The conference begins at 17:00 (Athens Time – 15:00 GMT and 10 am EST) and will run for three hours.
